The Hilary Term Library and Archives
exhibition, ‘The Greek Manuscripts of Magdalen College”, will run from
8th February–16 May 2017. The exhibition will be open every Thursday
afternoon from 2pm, with entrance via the
steps to the Old Library off of the Cloisters. Members of the
University can gain entrance by showing their Bodleian card at the
Lodge.
EVENTS
There will be a book launch of A Catalogue of Greek Manuscripts of Magdalen College, Oxford drafted by Mark Sosower, revised and completed by Nigel
Wilson at 5.15pm on Friday 24th February 2017
in the Summer Common Room. The launch is open to the public and will be
followed by a drinks reception and a viewing of the exhibition,
accompanied by a kanonaki (traditional Greek instrument)

The Library and Archives talk will be given by exhibition co-curators Dr Dawn LaValle on
“Greek pedagogy at Magdalen” and Daryl Green,
Librarian, on “Recycled Byzantine bindings” at 5.30pm on Wednesday
3 May
2017 in the Summer Common Room. The talk is open to the public and
will be followed by a drinks reception and a viewing of the exhibition.
